Spring Update from Tamara

With the ground finally starting to thaw, thoughts of the wonderful spring weather and upcoming summer are now on the horizon…

With that in mind, I wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone on what we have been up to here at TPSMTS and the excitement ahead!

As of July 3, RYAN HUI will be assuming the role of FULL-TIME ASSISTANT DIRECTOR!

Ryan has been a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated associate since 2012, so I am thrilled for him to be taking this next step within the company.

This role will allow him to still maintain and provide all lessons/sessions with his current students/clients, and take a leadership role within the practice and day-to-day operations.

As of June 30, we will be saying good-bye to Chantelle Whiteside. She will be heading to the University of Toronto to obtain her Doctorate Degree in Music and Health Sciences. I want to personally thank her for all her hard work and dedication to our team, her students/clients and their families.

Looking ahead!

• SUMMER LESSONS/SESSIONS REGISTRATION is now available online to all current students/clients. Current student/client registration is due by Saturday, May 5, and spots are starting to fill. After May 5, registration will become available to all of our waiting list and new/potential families.Summer lessons/sessions are optional, but highly recommended for all our students/clients, whether it be regular weekly lessons/sessions or a few “check-ins” throughout the summer to maintain lesson/session consistency, progress, therapeutic goals, and motivation.

  You can read why we recommend continuing lessons/sessions throughout the summer months here.

  During the summer months, we also offer blocks of 4 trial lessons/sessions for all new/potential families. This is a wonderful opportunity to try out lessons/sessions first before committing to lessons/sessions for the remainder of the summer and/or for the upcoming school year.

  We are also working on providing small music therapy social skill groups throughout the summer months in our studio in Thornhill. If this is of interest to you, please reply to request further information.

 

• OUR ANNUAL END-OF-THE-YEAR PARTY AND RECITALS are coming up on June 19, June 20, and June 21, 2018. This is the highlight of the school year for all associates, students/clients, and their families. Our recitals are casual, fully inclusive, and an opportunity for all hard work to be celebrated and applauded. Registration and invitations for all current families are forthcoming.You can read our tips for preparing for the end-of-the-year recitals and party here.

 

• 2018-2019 REGISTRATION will soon be available to all current students/clients and will be due on June 30. After June 30, availability will be opened up to any waiting list or new/potential families.
